Alastair Cook has very kindly donated his own Gray Nicolls Cricket bat which he has used in test games and scored a test century with.
The bat has been signed by Alastair Cook and the rest of the England cricket team on the very day that Alastair became the youngest player ever to score 10,000 Test Runs. This great acheivement by Alastair as the only Englishman to reach this milestone took place at Chester-le-Street on the 30th May 2016 when England took on Sri Lanka. Alastair aged 31years, 5months and 5days overtook the record held by India legend Sachin Tendulkar aged 31years, 10months and 20days, a record held by Sachin since 2005.
The other signatures on the bat are Joe Root, Alex Hales, Nick Compton, Jonny Bairstow, James Vince, Moeen Ali, Stuart Broad, James Anderson, Steven Finn and Chris Woakes.
A massive Thank You to Alastair Cook for donating this brilliant piece of sporting memorabilia for our auction and thanks also go to Sir Ian Botham and Liam Botham for organising and delivering the bat to us!
