Estate Blankets For The Homeless

As the temperatures dipped below zero last night, NYMMO volunteers hit the streets of Middlesbrough to hand out blankets to those who are going through difficult times.

The 25 blankets donated from a shooting estate in the North York Moors were given to people sleeping on the streets during the cold nights. Thank you again to Maureen and her team of volunteers from the Columba Project for all their help.

Since opening its doors 16 years ago The Columba Project has provided a place for vulnerable young adults to attend twice weekly where they are provided with a listening ear and offers of snacks and drinks.

NYMMO provided over 500 game meals during our Gift of Game initiative over winter last year with the Columba Project being one of several charities that benefited.  Look out for more posts involving the Columba Project next week as Great British Game week begins and so does our 2019 Gift of Game campaign.
